Located in the small town of Hope, these historical tunnels were once occupied by trains! It is now open to the public for a quick/short hike through a piece of Canada's history. Prior to entering the first tunnel, you will notice a "raging" river onto the side. If you do decide to go for a dip, please use caution as people do get swept away!

With that said, you will now embark on your adventure onto the Kettle Valley Trail through the Tunnels. Depending on the time of day you decide to visit the tunnels, you can either be completely alone or find yourself in the midst of a hoard of tourists. The problem with the infestation of tourists is the struggle to take a photo...

As you continue on this trail, you will cross a series of bridges over the river and the Coquihalla Gorge! Following this trail, you will find yourself at the end of your adventure on Kettle Valley Road heading towards Hope; you may notice that a lot of people will get to the end of the tunnels and head back towards the parking lot to fetch their cars before headed west towards Vancouver or east towards Kelowna and other fabulous destinations!

This is a great place to bring your family for a day trip or even for an overnight trip. Overnight accommodation can be found within Hope or at the Othello Tunnels Campgrounds located just east of the Othello Tunnels.
